Back to Casey's story.

Um, and so I had kind of been drifting in and out of sleep, and both doors to the room that I was staying in had been closed.

And I could hear as I was kind of drifting in and out of sleep, like, rustling sounds and, like, some footsteps, and the door to the outside opening and shutting a bunch.

And it sounded like somebody was, like, turning the door and shutting it, turning the door and shutting it.

And so I thought, like, maybe one of the other ladies had, like, stayed behind, too, and was, like, kind of grabbing some stuff every once in a while and maybe going back to the main house.

So I didn't really think anything of it at the time.

And, um, at one point, it was kind of, like, dusk, and I was really thirsty, and so I thought, like, "Oh, okay, I'm gonna go into the main house and grab some water and, um, come back and sleep some more." And so the only way to exit my room was either through the bathroom to the saloon or through the jail cell.
