Casey, Crime Photographer

I've mentioned before that I'm recording ahead for an absence as we get into the final days of my wife's pregnancy and the first few weeks of with the new baby at home.

In the course of that, I ended up an episode behind on Casey Crime Photographer.

So, I would have to go ahead... and record an episode that should have been played on February 28th and play it sometime in April.

And then on Tales of the Texas Rangers, the next episode of Tales of the Texas Rangers I pre-recorded and is set to release in two weeks.

And so I would need to take an episode from 1951 and play it about eight weeks in advance.

Now, essentially, the two series had opposite problems.

And it occurred to me I could remedy that by playing two episodes of Casey Crime Photographer.

And therefore, both series will be on track.

Here are some that I came up with that where there were TV versions of some sort made.

Some, uh, and this is, uh, The Lineup, Dangerous Assignment, The Man Called X, Gangbusters, Suspense, Casey Crime Photographer, Richard Diamond, Tales of the Texas Rangers, Our Miss Brooks, Li- The Life of Riley, Life with Luigi, The Great Gildersleeve, Fibber McGee and Molly, Burns and Allen, Abbott and Costello, Dr. Christian, Easy Aces, uh, Lux Radio Theater, Your Favorite Story, Ozzie and Harriet.

And that's not counting all the shows that they did pilots for, uh, Box 13, Notbe, Lum and Abner, Duffy's Tavern, uh, all recorded, uh, pilots.

And of course, there was the Amos 'n Andy TV, uh, program based on the radio series.

We'll be back next Saturday with another episode of Tales of the Texas Rangers.

But before then, join us back here on Monday as we start our journey through the great detectives of old-time radio week with an episode of Casey Crime Photographer, where...

Burke, I agree with you and Casey, but you're asking me to risk a large amount of this paper's money for an unknown quantity.
