Um, you have to get very crafty with your words.

Directors have to be amazing communicators and they have to be, have to have a really great temperament.

Um, and that is something that I've had to work on.

Uh, I became the better parent.

I became the better director I became because there are skills that you have to have where you can't just be like, well, this is how I want it.

Because what I had to learn is, um, As I've grown as a director, I've grown to respect the art and the craft of acting more.
