I just asked him about the rookies.

I wanted to talk to him about what he thought of Dylan Harper, what he thought of Carter Bryant.

Obviously, two guys that had impacts during the playoffs.

Carter Bryant was making the most of his minutes.

He got about 10, 11 a game.

He hit some big threes.

Obviously Queen maybe wouldn't have made as much sense after the Zach Edey pick, but Queen was on the board.

The success that he's had for the San Antonio Spurs, that's an interesting name.

And then further on draf- down the draft board, it gets a little bit, uh, you know, like Hugo Gonzalez, if you really want to, you know, get a deep cut there.

i think this is more of a if this expansion draft happened today this is what would happen um because as we just discussed tobias harris if he's still unsigned by that summer if he's an unrestricted free agent he can just go um and kelton johnson obviously this is the last year of his deal so assuming that the roster is the same by that point that's who they would protect but they do mention jaden acquaintance as an unprotected player but maybe most importantly d'aron fox and their simple reasoning for that is that look you want Harper and Castle and Fox's contract is a big one and while you wouldn't necessarily want to lose him for nothing it could be an option right he's already on these worst contract in the league list I think it's overblown I really do I've said it before and I'll say it again I think we're gonna see a good De'Aaron Fox this year however ultimately I don't think the Spurs can compete with him on that contract when you're ready to extend Harper specifically which would be the start of the 20 29 30 season so That timeline kind of works out where if Fox's money is off the books by the time Harper's extension comes along, then you're in a good position.

Otherwise, I don't know.

So, you know, in other leagues, you've seen the kind of backdoor deals like, hey, Seattle, I will pay you a second round draft pick or I will pay you a first round draft pick if you don't take Fox.

carter bryant from my team and instead you take luke cornett on his expiring deal because jayden quaintance is good now you know this kind of thing so you can figure stuff out in the back door but it's a lot of stuff that the spurs will need to figure out and deal with heading into that time for now i'm pretty confident because as long as you can keep wemby harper castle and a To me, the rest of the roster is kind of fine.

Like, you can fill a lot of holes in other ways.

Here is the full trade details.

In this, the Mavs will receive De'Aaron Fox, Keldon Johnson, Carter Bryant, Luke Cornett, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks.

But going to San Antonio would be starter Kyrie Irving, starter P.J. Washington, and in my opinion, starter at the center position in Daniel Gafford, and a depth piece in Caleb Martin.

Now, this is a wild trade proposal, and I want to break this down more, obviously.

It certainly is an intriguing one.

You've got Fox, Christie, Flagg, Merez, Johnson Jr., and Luke Cornett as your starters in theory.

Obviously, you would have Carter Bryant.

There's going to be Kelvin Johnson down there.

Because all of you may know the story of LeBron or Steph or Kawhi or whoever it is.
