Carson, let's talk about the new ag lab to take root in Fargo and just really what this means for the ag industry.
0:16
No, the new Bali Center there at NDSU is gonna be a, you know, a game changer as, as students are looking at schools and where they're gonna attend to further their education.
0:27
Um, now we got an awful nice set of, uh, facilities there at NDSU and, uh, you know, that's gonna pay dividends to the whole ag, uh, commodity groups, you know? So North Dakota is into the Bali Center for a, a substantial donation, and we don't just look at that as how is that gonna be coming back to corn, we really look at how is that gonna come back to all constituents in the state, um, uh, whether corn growers, soybean growers, sugar beets, all commodities.
1:01
Um, because we all do grow more than just one, one crop, and, uh, if we're able to do something to help everybody from that 30,000-foot view, that's one thing that, uh, you know, the council seems to have been doing for its, uh, 35 years.
1:18
We just marked 35 years here in 2026, so a pretty, pretty, uh, common message that, uh, we just wanna further agriculture in North Dakota and, uh, emphasize on corn where we can.
2:28
As you were saying, moisture would certainly be welcome.
2:31
All the growing season has kind of been rain to rain, and we were hooking them pretty good up until, uh, the beginning of July.
2:38
And, uh, we went three weeks there, that h- that hot, dry three weeks, and that did, uh, did some damage.
22:22

one crop.

Visit with me about your time with the U.S. Grains Council.
20:39
Yeah, so U.S. Grains Council's got their 66th annual Board of Delegates meeting out here in Milwaukee.
20:46
And North Dakota corn's been active.
20:49
with Grains Council for many, many years.
20:51
We have found great value in what they bring to trade.
20:58
And that's one of our important things being in North Dakota.
21:01
We got a lot of product.
24:13
Obviously, you see real benefit in this.
0:11

Yeah, so U.S. Grains Council's got their 66th annual Board of Delegates meeting out here in Milwaukee.

30:09
He's a volunteer leader with the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council.
30:13
Council.Yeah, so North Dakota Corn gave a good contribution to the swine expansion.
30:19
You know, they, they come forward to us in our board meetings, and they had an idea.
30:23
And actually, we have some swine producers that, uh, that are on our board and, and they know what it takes to, to make something function.
30:32
And actually, we told them to go back to the drawing board because it wasn't big enough.
30:37
And, uh, to get good size, practicality, uh, that's what we were looking for, so they come back to us with a bigger expansion and, you know, here we are with a 600 head that they're adding on to this, uh, NDSU facility with a lot of new modern, um, uh, features to it.
30:55
And this is gonna just help, uh, a lot of people.
31:40
So this is another step toward that goal.
