CARS Tour

Caden Honeycutt and his team did a great job of adjusting on their truck to be able to be where they needed to be at the end of the night.

And then the guy shows up at the Cars Tour race, runs two more races the next day, flew home from Phoenix and ran the pro late model race and the late model stock race at South Boston.

So guy's a racer.

He is.

I mentioned Taylor, you see Haley Deegan and, and the others standing right there, but all of these women in, in the race this weekend was, was a lot of fun to see out there in Phoenix.

Yeah, no, yeah, that was great.

So Cars Tour, Trayton Labsovich, his first ride for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the number eight, and he was able to take his first attempt to victory lane.

Trayton's a great kid.

How was your weekend?

A lot of fun and I was able to bring it home.

So it was a really good weekend.

How much fun is racing that Cars Tour race? Because I mean, everybody, I think that's maybe the most competitive field.

You know, once you get below the top three series, that's the closest field we see that late model stock class in the Cars Tour race.

There's going to be a lot to pay attention to, but that schedule, really impressive for the NASCAR Wheel and Modified Tour.

Also, the Cars Tour was announced, and just a quick note for them, 15 races.

They are changing their opener.

It is going to be at Cletus McFarlane's Freedom Factory in Bradenton, Florida, on February 6th.

So, 15 races for the Pro Late Models and the Late Model Stocks for the Cars Tour, again, beginning on February 6th.

Now, speaking of Cars Tour, there was a bit of announcement over the weekend.

I'm going to try to make this make sense, but basically, the Super Late Model Racing scene for the ASA Series... and Cars Tour West have now merged in the ownership game, so a unified nationwide vision and leadership structure for super late model racing with Kevin Harvick, Tim Huddleston, the creators of the Cars Tour West.

They've joined the ASA Stars Championship Racing Association and Midwest Tour owner Marty Mello.

Number one, I want to give a shout out.

We got the Cars Tour coming up this weekend, the final race of the season at South Boston.

South Boston's a badass racetrack.

one of the premier short tracks in the Southeast, if not in the country.

And they also are racing for national championships and track titles at South Boston and Kent.

It's one or the other.

You're going to race for the Cars Tour or you're going to go race at your local track for the track title.

You can dip every now and then into the Cars Tour when the South Boston might have an off weekend, but you're not going to risk tearing up this awesome car that you have that's primed and ready to go to the next race at South Boston.

It is a little bit of a bummer.

The Carolina Pro Series has the same rules package as the Cars Tour, so that's a great place to go prep and get ready.

But again, for Dallas's health reasons and some long nagging issues that just aren't getting better, we gotta do something different.

The good news is he's scheduled to go to the right place for this, I'll say, next month.

I'm glad you do.

For you race fans out there, the Cars Tour, which is owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick, the late model tour, they're coming back to the Nashville fairgrounds on April 10th next year.

So looking forward to that.
