Carolyne Larrington

Translations, Jackson Crawford's Poetic Edda and Jesse Byock's Prose Edda are both excellent and widely accessible.

Carolyn Larrington's translation is also very good.

It's probably one of my favorites.

For deeper engagement with this topic, the Havamal and any good translation will give you Odin's own self-hanging and rune acquisition story, which is the companion story to today's episode.
