The group, known as the Jamaicans, has grown to include many others.

My brothers saw that they were meeting here to play games and they thought, well, why don't we come here to play dominoes? Because we can play dominoes, which of course is a great Jamaican tradition.

Carolyn Phillips says she couldn't believe it when she heard one of the council's options for a new civic building could mean the end of the free house.

What do you mean? You want to take this down to build a community centre? This is a community centre.

I meet so many people here, so many people I know and so many people I don't know, which I think is one of the healthiest aspects of it.

How do you tackle that? You know, is there a similar interest in, in the prints regardless of the age? Or, you know, uh, do you really have to curate, uh, something different for each one of [laughs] those generations? Which I can't imagine is an easy thing if you have to do that.

Uh, it's a little bit of both, I would say.

You know, we have core prints that have been with the brand really from the beginning.

So our monkey, which has become a bit of an icon for us, has been around, you know, for two decades at this point.

Then we have, you know, botanical prints.

Uh, one is called Amanda.

It's a bit, um, a bit more romantic, uh, and sophisticated.
