Caroline Rose

To all of you listening in Bend, Birmingham, Portland, Reno, and beyond, those of you streaming us around the world, It's great to have you along.

This time, discover new music from Caroline Rose, Simple Minds, the Olivia Tremor Control, and a whole lot more.

We'll also hear a lost indie track from the 80s that I think sounds like Wilco meets Soul Asylum that should have been huge, I think.

All of this and a whole lot more, and all you have to do to enjoy it is simply sit back, relax, and or drive straight as I open up a brand new issue of The Bottom Forty.

And And before that, from Indianapolis, the Shoegaze Band, Wishy.

New music from them with a track called Sensational.

Right now, I've got a brand new one from Caroline Rose from the new album Gentling the Horse.

It's due out October 23rd.

Turning back the clock to before the Iraq War, a country radio ban is not stopping The Chicks from selling out three nights at The Beacon, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday.

On Friday, aughts nostalgia part one, Modest Mouse at the Rooftop at Pier 17 with Caroline Rose still has avails.

And aughts nostalgia part two, presumably Nate Royce can't credibly sing We Are Young anymore, and Jack Antonoff is otherwise engaged with Bleachers.

So Nate's previous band, The Format, is celebrating 20 years of Dog Problems at Radio City tomorrow night.

What do you got?

Uh, ooh, Caroline Rose.

Here's an artist who is eternally interesting to me.

Uh, she'll go and make, like, a tongue-in-cheek pop track called, like, Bikini, which we play.

Relax, yes, I am the calmest motherfucker ever hit the ground now.

Never look back.

Nick, that's a tune called Calm, a new one by Caroline Rose.

Sounds anything but calm to me, but that [laughs] we'll leave that there, and we'll, we'll go out with this one.

Finishing up with our friend from Minneapolis, as my friend from Minneapolis sits here with me.
