There was also a request that any discussions about the suspicions linking Lucy Letby to the spike in deaths were excluded from the minutes of meetings.

Today on the podcast, we're bringing you the extraordinary story of a Church of England priest whose famous church services in the north of England enabled him to abuse women over and over again.

Yeah, certainly because this church, this service, this front man for it was so different to anything anybody had seen before, certainly in this country and certainly at the time.

Back in the 1990s, there were television programmes and books written about some of the behaviour, because at the time it was an accusation that Brain had abused his position rather than indecently assaulted or raped anybody.

But as you say, Caroline, the central allegation here is that these women did not have the capacity to consent to what was happening to them.

They did not have the capacity to consent to having sex with Chris Brain or have sexual relations with Chris Brain.
