Carnegie stage

For this episode, I'm using two medical embryology textbooks, The Developing Human Clinically Oriented Embryology by Keith Moore, T.V.N. Persaud, and Mark Torsha, and Langman's Medical Embryology by T.W. Sadler.

I'll also reference the Carnegie Stages of Human Embryonic Development.

And I want to make something clear before we go any further.

None of those are Christian apologetics books.

After fertilization, we're no longer talking about one of the father cells or one of the mother cells.

We're talking about the beginning of a new organism that's going through its own coordinated process of human development.

Now I mentioned the Carnegie Stages a minute ago, so let me explain what that means.

The Carnegie System is a standardized system scientists use to classify human embryos by their actual physical development.
