I was on TSN in Toronto with our guy, Carlo Colaiacovo up there, and I said that to him.
Sal CapaccioHOST

I said, "You know, the big talk here is if and when they're ever gonna trade for Connor Hellebuyck." And he said to me, "What are they waiting for, Sal?"
Matt BoveHOST

Yeah.
Matt BoveHOST

Like draft picks and pieces, then I think the deal probably is already done.
Matt BoveHOST

But it seems like they're pretty dead set on wanting NHL players, and the players that have been reportedly and rumored to be interested from Winnipeg are like Jack Quinn and Ryan McLeod.
Matt BoveHOST
2:26
Those were two guys who were pretty good for them last night.
Sal CapaccioHOST
2:28
Yeah.
Cam JanssenGUEST

You played with Petro in his first year.
Cam JanssenGUEST

[laughs] A- and that was a team that had a lot of protection around him, right? Like, it had Eric Brewer on the team, Barrett Jackman, Carlo Colaiacovo.
Cam JanssenGUEST
38:15
Do you think this is an environment that's kinda similar to that for a Adam Jurczek, that he's got a lot of protection in terms of allowing him to play his game? Yeah.
Cam JanssenGUEST
38:22
He could get s- yeah, absolutely.

Leafs have to kick things off.
Aaron KorolnekHOST
1:18
I mean, how could you not be excited? And I think, Carlo and I talked about this with regards to Toronto.
Aaron KorolnekHOST
1:24
One of the reasons we're so excited this year is because this season is so dramatically different than the last five, six, seven, eight years where...
Aaron KorolnekHOST
1:32
The regular season, you kind of shrug your shoulders and say, ah, you know the Leafs are going to be in the playoffs for the most part.

ground? Yeah.
Darren DregerGUEST

Well, I think there's a chance.
Darren DregerGUEST

You know, Carlo, I'm reminded of, you know, look at how much emphasis and attention we spent on Zach Wierenski and the belief on July 1st that he was on his way out.
Darren DregerGUEST

Well, I mean, we were connecting Matthew Nyes, the Maple Leafs were all over this player until the player just said, okay, let's pump the brakes enough.
Todd ArkellHOST
2:13
I should bring it by to have you sign it.
Todd ArkellHOST
2:16
Yeah, and congratulations on that, because it truly is, for those that don't know, uh, I think Carlo Colaiacovo, who I had on my show before, called it, you know, one of the hardest trophies to win in sport, maybe even harder than, than the Stanley Cup, because you have to go through so many rounds of hockey just to even get there, and then it's a, it's, it's quite the tournament to kinda, to get that, so congrats again on that.
Jeff KyrzakosGUEST
2:38
Thank you.
Jeff KyrzakosGUEST

Yeah, I mean, it was a, it was an awesome experience, and it, it certainly is a, a long run in terms of four rounds of OHL playoffs and then, you know, you go up against two other champions and, uh, a host team that usually is built for, for the Memorial Cup, so it's, uh, it can be a challenge to have success at the Memorial Cup, even if you do win your league, so we were fortunate and obviously had a pretty special year.
