He goes flying and trying to make a play, knocks himself out cold, while Drew Messmaker lands in the end zone as the hero.

They had a couple of poor coverage moments in the red zone.

Carl Williams and Koi Parrish both got beat for touchdowns.

And, you know, the Parrish one, it didn't look great.

It was a little more excusable just because, you know, it was an incredible throw and a great catch on fourth down.

The Carl Williams one to start the game was just such a bad tone setter for Oregon defensively because he watched and he went, wait a minute, why does Oregon look lost? so badly in the secondary.

But to bring it back to the defensive line, Maddox Madsen had time to make those throws, and sometimes he made quick decisions.

But when the game was on the line, when their backs were against the wall, and Bailey Ettridge had pinned him deep with a great punt, All of a sudden, you saw that defensive line ratcheted up.

However you want to attack that.

Based on what he was told in a post-practice media session, I almost can't believe what happened here because there's something that's clearly obvious.

Carl Williams IV, the one-time Baylor transfer, is going to be one of the guys that pushes for serious playing time.

That is not a surprise.
