Carl Safina

So I've spoken about culture a number of times on the show before.

Early days, I think I had Carl Safina on and we spoke about culture and it was quite, I think, a biological grappling with culture.

I actually

love that one.

It's them in relationship to their environment, right? It's the elephants and the, I was going to say the wolves and the lions who happen to live in distinct relationships with specific environments.

You know, that's, they're in place.

The same way, I think that's what Carl Safina said right at the start of the other interview, is just imagine being dumped in the middle of nowhere and you don't know, you're still the same species, but you don't know how to relate to the landscape or the individuals there.

That's traumatic.

And then I saw other people do the same thing where they were in the area or the CNN put him on.

in a charter plane to fly over the BB oil spill just to see how vast it was.

And they showed emotion too.
