Carl Johnson

Next up, we have Grand Theft Auto, and this panel was an absolute delight.

On stage, we had Ned Luke, who played Michael in GTA V, Sean Fontino, who played Franklin, Steven Ogg, who played Trevor, and Young Malay, who voiced CJ from GTA San Andreas.

And with GTA 6 on the horizon, there was a real sense that this cast were reflecting on how much these games have changed their lives.

One of the most interesting stories came from Sean, who admitted that when he first started working on GTA, he wasn't remotely prepared for what he'd signed up for.

But it was really frustrating watching that panel, particularly when you have a huge opportunity to hear from somebody like him.

And I think it does go to show that being a host on a main stage at a Comic-Con panel is nowhere near as easy as you might think it looks.

Because the other panels hosted by people like CJ and Coco and Wee Claire showed how much fun you can have when the moderator follows an interesting answer and lets the conversation develop naturally rather than sticking to a set of questions.

Still, at least I got a bit of extra time to make the long trek back across the XL.

Somebody on Twitter earlier said that basically Santa and Driz was basically... comparable to being a real-life L.A. experience.

Really? I was like, Carl Johnson, an ex-car thief? Comes back to the hood, saves the hood, runs into an army base to steal a jetpack.

He burns down acres of weed.

Yeah.

And I'll become a millionaire and I'm a music moke behind the scenes.

Yeah.

That's Carl Johnson.

That's San Andreas.
