I can say that we had Carl Hester.
PeteHOST
9:49
Hey, I filmed him this week as well.
Megan ElphickHOST
9:51
Carl Hester blew it and put a photo.
Megan ElphickHOST
9:54
I was on his Instagram.
Megan ElphickHOST
9:55
In fact, I am on his Instagram.
Megan ElphickHOST
10:18
So I'm on Carl's side.
Megan ElphickHOST
10:19
Consensus? Yeah.
Danielle KrollHOST
25:53
And I am a thousand...
Jessica von Bredow-WerndlGUEST
25:55
convinced of that if you are grateful and also accept the small doors that open and then dare to walk through them and charlotte dujardin for example is an example of that she worked there i think as a temp or something for carl hester and i think she groomed more than she rode and he eventually discovered her talent and she was probably very hard working
Christian KroeberHOST
26:13
An outsider? What are your personal goals?
Jessica von Bredow-WerndlGUEST
26:15
As a person or as an athlete?
Tom McEwenGUEST
16:16
So for him getting back on a true grass surface here, he will absolutely love it.
Nicole BrownHOST
16:21
And for you, I mean, Carl Hester, you've worked with Carl for a number of years.
Nicole BrownHOST
16:25
You know, you're both Defender Ambassadors and he is somebody that you know pretty well anyway.
Nicole BrownHOST
16:31
And he's Carl Hester.
Nicole BrownHOST
16:32
Do you still get a little bit of a kind of a kick up the backside that you've got to go in?
Tom McEwenGUEST
16:37
Do your best work.
Jenny RudallHOST
41:33
Again, I tried the topless thing, but he was having none of it.
Ben AtkinsonHOST
41:37
My favourite one, my favourite Jenny trying to hit on someone is Carl Hester.
Ben AtkinsonHOST
41:42
I think that is the funniest.
Jenny RudallHOST
41:44
I'm so sad, Tom.
Rachel FaulknerGUEST
17:33
No, you go, yeah.
Pippa FunnellHOST
17:34
Well, I mean, I will, uh, answer the, because I thought Carl Hester answered that really well, and I would absolutely be in agreement with Carl, is actually I can't take credit for my system that I've developed over many, many years.
Pippa FunnellHOST
17:48
What I can say is I've take snippets from advice from so many people-
Tristan PhippsHOST
17:53
Then build it into that
Rhiannon DaviesHOST
33:23
Mine isn't that big, but maybe that's because I don't look after it very well.
Rhiannon DaviesHOST
33:26
Um, the only other thing I wanted to bring up was something I keep thinking about, uh, cause obviously WEG is on at the moment, World Equestrian Games and Carl Hester gave an interview as he does after his round, um, on Vogue and he used that spotlight time to talk about how he had.
Rhiannon DaviesHOST
33:44
adapted the warm-up for the conditions and so it was very hot in Wegg, I don't know the temperatures but it was hot and he was like I only warmed up under cover, I didn't warm up in any of the outdoor arenas, I changed my warm-up because of the hot weather and I took his ears off and normally I'd have his ears on but I really felt like he needed the air to be able to move through and I mean I think Carl is one of the most beautiful riders and I just think it was so good of him like aware of him and good in general to use his time in the spotlight in this very you know key equestrian moment to talk about um how he adapted things for his competition horse given the weather and i just it was just i thought it was really good and i applauded that little moment that i saw so that it was hot it's been between 30 and 35 degrees and that is very hot and this links back to what we were saying the other day about weather Because I said, do you remember, I said to a friend, oh, it's really hot.
Rhiannon DaviesHOST
34:40
And she was like, I think because I saw a competition rider riding their horse and it was like 11 a.m. And I was like, oh, it's so hot.
Sam WatsonHOST
41:24
Oh, my God.
Nicole BrownHOST
41:24
Toledo's been fourth at Burghley, and now does lots of snazzy jumping on global champions tours and things like that, and he is coming back for a demo, um, with none other than Defender Ambassador Carl Hester.
Nicole BrownHOST
41:36
I think there's a, there's a racing one as well.
Nicole BrownHOST
41:39
I think Harry Skelton is going to be there to do a, uh, sort of a racing demo at, at lunchtime.
