Tim KurkjianHOST

And this is my favorite one, Jeff, even though I don't even pretend to know who Jim Perry is.
Tim KurkjianHOST
63:15
But Jim Perry hosted Card Sharks, sorry, Jim, and Sale of the Century, and he shares a name with Jim Perry-
Jeff KurkjianHOST
63:24
Oh
Tim KurkjianHOST
63:25
... who is Gaylord Perry's brother.
Phil JohnsonGUEST
25:41
It's
Jack MichaelsHOST
25:42
almost like the game Card Sharks right here we're playing.
Jack MichaelsHOST
25:45
Remember Card Sharks? Higher than a four.
Jack MichaelsHOST
25:47
It is a five.
Jack MichaelsHOST

I would think it'd be low, but I wonder if you're just kind of, if Dallas is playing with me a little bit, maybe there's more than I thought of.
speaker_0HOST
7:45
Very entertaining, very funny, and, uh, again, cannot believe it too is forty years old now.
speaker_0HOST
7:52
And then we have Card Sharks.
speaker_0HOST
7:55
Now, Card Sharks originally debuted in the '70s, the late '70s over on NBC.
speaker_0HOST
7:59
Um, they brought it back, hosted by Bob Eubanks, best known for the Newlywed Game.
speaker_0HOST
8:04
Don't know why they didn't bring Jim Perry back.
speaker_0HOST
8:08
I forgot to look that up, as a matter of fact.
speaker_0HOST
8:10
I don't know if I can find it really quickly.
speaker_0HOST
8:12
If not, well, um, I, I didn't watch the new Card Sharks very often.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
44:25
That, that to me just seemed like a not fun show at all.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
44:28
But one of my favorites was card sharks and card sharks had two parts.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
44:32
Are you familiar with card sharks?
Luke WilliamsHOST
44:34
I am not.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
44:35
Okay.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
46:47
This is just emotionally draining right now.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
46:50
You know, just how bad it is.
Kathleen MercuryGUEST
46:51
But so if you're wanting to watch an old vintage game show where you're like, this would need some different shifts in perspective, right? card sharks um is one because i think you know there's a really funny like kind of tiktok thing happening right now where people put like a post-it with their number on their forehead and so people are like you have to ask questions of other people to try to help you guess what numbers on your forehead you know and i was and i was like oh that's it's blisteringly simple super funny um and it's like, then I think about card sharks and just like, so yeah, if you're wanting to get a little bit of like 1980s culture shock and stuff like that, like, cause there are times I say I'm a crusty old witch and there's just some things and, you know, and it's like, I think about shows like card sharks and how many of those shows I watched.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:40
And a big shout out to our friend Vandal Drummond.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:43
So Mike, another edition of Card Sharks is in the books.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:46
You survived.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:47
You did very well.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:48
The card survived.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:49
And somehow Lisa is still over there dancing and laughing.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:52
You know what I figured out? I don't think Lisa likes Card Sharks because of the card.
Frank CulbertsonHOST
36:56
I think she likes watching us panic every time she reaches for the next card.
