Did you respect to be received on this level this quickly?

No, I'm in awe every time still.

Like, I teared up a lot on the home opener because just as a little girl playing the sport, you're always told that, like, nobody really cares about your game.

Nobody will come.

Nobody will come.

And as you're fighting through your 20s for visibility and they said nobody cares, you just start to believe it.

And then you're like, maybe it will never happen.

Do you feel that the window here for the Golden Eyes to build out their roster and maybe become a contender is short just because this league continues to expand and there's going to be another wave right behind Vancouver?

As a general manager, how do you incorporate- The potential of expansion, but also just the uncertainty into your planning going into the off-season.

Um, well, first of all, I find it really exciting because it means what we're doing matters, and it means that there's a demand for more teams.

And so for me, that's huge success, the fact that we are even talking about two to four teams, and I know that the league has always said all along it, it wants four.

So if, if there's that much demand for our product, to me, this is, like, that's the best news we can have.

So, um, I know people would, would wonder if it's frustrating.

It's actually not.

It's super exciting.

How do you reflect on the bond you were able to build with the fan base in year one here in Vancouver?

Explain the gold plan for those who are unfamiliar.

So the goal plan, this league is very, very creative in the way they approach a lot of things.

They're willing to think outside the box.

And I think that it's what makes the league special.

The goal plan is once you are officially eliminated from playoffs, you start to acquire points based on wins.

And whoever ends up with the most points at the end of this gets the first pick.

So where it got tricky is we face Seattle back to back.

What's your sense on travel? And would it help if you had fewer takeover games, you have more games at home, perhaps less travel to third party or third markets?
