But nonetheless, the impression it gives in those episodes where Captain Mannering and his men are up against the regular military and We see them marching round and round and round in circles because they can't read maps properly.

And we see them running out of food.

We see them getting into all these helpless mishaps and only winning the day by chance because someone finds a secret tunnel just by chance.

And, um, you know, after a while you're like, "Yeah, whatever." So he goes, "Why don't you cock your glasses?" Like, I was like, "What? Like, like Captain Mainwaring?"
