One day was on the peninsula, the second day was Robben Island, Table Mountain and Boerkaap.

And the third day was the Winelands where we did both the Stella Bosch and Franschhoek wine route.

And no, it went very, very well.

We were very excited to kick off and start our first tour.

On any given day, we're competing with a myriad of other countries around the world who are also putting their tourism product into the global marketplace.

So for us, um, uh, I think that we- we're doing an excellent job and obviously, uh, you know, purely just from a social media perspective, um, if somebody, somebody sees some wonderful photographs from a friend, uh, of, of the Big Five in the Kruger, and a few days later of the beauty of the Cape Winelands or Cape Town or the Garden Route, that, that creates a very, very strong proposition.

So whilst there is volatility, we're very fortunate to live in a country where the fundamentals will always be strong no matter what happens.

Um, I do agree that the, that the cost of, uh, coming on holiday to South Africa is perhaps not as affordable as it was, uh, five to 10 years ago.

It's not in the middle of Cape Town.

It's up the Winelands, just white people, you know? So, and coloreds.

So like, oh, everything is good, but then there's this thing they feel where there's hierarchy.

You know how in-- I don't know if we have it here still in Kenya, but how there's, like, hazing in, like, American universities where the newbies get to-- the newbies have to cater to the older students.

So there's the Cedarburg Mountains.

to the north there's the west coast which is this kind of wild windswept beautiful coast which has um which has this it's just carpeted and wild wildflowers around this time of year uh and there's the cape winelands very near us yes with with beautiful wine and and lovely scenery

So that's where you'd take us if we came to visit.

And if you had more time, would it be much of a hike to see the wildlife?

All right, I'm sitting here today in lovely Franschhoek, Cape Winelands, South Africa, with Chantal Green.

The history of this place is in 1688, the Dutch East India Company sent down a bunch of French Huguenots who were being chased out of Belgium, I understand, and so they were placed here.

It used to be called Alphanshoek, which meant elephant's corner.

There should be seating arrangements and there should be safety arrangements that should be made for an ambassador to come and join an event of such magnitude.

South Africa's Democratic Alliance says crime has become a growing threat to rural and farming communities in the Western Cape following two weekend attacks in the Cape Winelands, including one in a bottlery road farm.

The DA's Benedicta Van Menen says 133 farm attacks have been recorded this year.

The latest incidents also reinforce the need to recognize that crime is a provincial-wide challenge.

He's the owner of a company called Cape Sidecar Adventures, founded in 2004, where they operate chauffeured tours with a fleet of 50 vintage motorbike sidecars around Cape Town.
