I'm Fraser, your host, and today we're taking a look at Cape Fear, the 2026 limited series created by Nick and Tosca with the pilot directed by Morten Tildum and starring Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson.

And look, I'm going to be up front with you right from the top on this one, because I think you deserve to know where I landed before we go any further.

I really wanted to love Cape Fear.

I have been a pretty big spokesman for Apple TV shows on this podcast.

I've said many, many times that Apple TV never really lets me down.

He was good in almost just about everything he did.

You know what? I think he was a better, I forget the name of the character, in Cape Fear.

And De Niro.

De Niro was over the top.

She has given us some absolutely gonzo and wonderful performances in her in her many works.

I actually just went to see Cape Fear in 35 at the Academy Museum a few weeks ago.

And she rules in that movie, you know, in a role that in lesser hands could have just felt like, you know, a wife role.

She imbues it with.

in a way that is that is really really special and obviously you know having you guys covered the Cape Fear television show in all its glory I gave up on that I tapped out I think episode five but we did release our season

I do think, though, just to talk Jessica Link for a second, her winning for Blue Sky is a little weird.
