Her dad did not read, so she really was so generous in starting the Imagination Library.

And we are excited to pair up with Canyon School District.

And we're asking people to bring a new book to donate so we can start filling our libraries and putting these new books in the hands of children right here in Sandy.

Katie, what difference do you hope this makes in the lives of children?

We have a bond issue coming up this November on the ballot.

If residents say they want to purchase this 17-acre property that's just up the street from us where we're sitting here today on 3rd East and 110th South, Canyon School District is selling off some of their surplus property, the Crescent View Middle School.

So we're putting that to the voters this November.

And should they decide to purchase it, that means a property tax increase for our homeowners and our property owners in Sandy.

But if they decided to pass on it and then it would go back to the Canyon School District to be built for housing development.

I trust the Sandy voters.

And I think that a central theme in Sandy is we're proud of Sandy.

But what can cities really do to help affordable? And I ask it because, I mean, we're a nonprofit, right? So people that work here and with the Utah Safety Council, you know, they're not working and advancing our mission of saving lives and keeping people safe because they're making a lot of money.

The Canyon School District has launched a new campaign challenging myths about rampant use of vaping.
