I wanted to, while I had a moment, shout out a friend of mine who apparently came by the house while I was not there and stuffed into my mailbox a Wyoming shirt.

I've spent many a fun day at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins.

So for those that haven't been probably one of the best secrets in all of college.

Fort Collins is a premier

They won three conference titles during that span.

Since the opening of Canvas Stadium, so let me say that again, CSU in the first four years of Mountain West planned or sunny, this shows you just how far this program has fallen.

In those first four years, CSU went 22-6.

They won 22 league games.

Since the start of the Canvas Stadium era, so 2017, the Rams have won just 27 league games over 10 years, and it took until 2024 to even top that figure of 22 league wins.

So CSU, in a span of four years under Sonny, basically won more league games than the Rams did

Did you see what's going on up north in Fort Collins? Coach Jim Mora comes out and says, hey, his new D.C.

interim D.C., he's been sleeping at Canvas Stadium.

He's been living there basically trying to get this defense right because they're one of the worst, if not the worst, in college football.

Okay.

And they're all trying to win.

So by no means do I want to be judgy.

But at the same point, it's like, yeah, if the family, if the wife is at Canvas Stadium.

Yeah,

College football.

CSU back home on Saturday, Canvas Stadium.

They will take on San Diego State.

Classic Pac-12 matchup, CSU and SDSU, Saturday at 4:30.

Is it the curse of Sonny? Like, is this all us paying the price for the way Lubick's firing was handled? You can argue about whether it was the right time or not, but I just think with what he did for this team, he deserved the right to go out on his own terms regardless.

Did we build Canvas Stadium on some type of ancient burial ground? Did we sell, sell our soul to a witch or something like that? You know, when we were in pursuit of improved facilities and in pursuit of joining the Big 12 all those years ago, did we sell our soul to a witch? You get everything you think you wanted, except you're going to basically live this nightmare where you're so close, so close you can taste it, but you're still on the outside looking in.

I, I'm at a loss for words when it comes to this team and, and how much they can find ways to, to punch us in the stomach.

But really, in the big picture, what this comes down to is just another missed opportunity by CSU.

That's kind of the legacy of this program in the Canvas Stadium era.

Awesome crowd, record turnout, not an empty seat in the house.

Love to see that.

That's just the dumbest win I've ever seen CSU pull out.

I even dumber than the Boise comeback, but worst loss ever.

If, if not the showdown a couple of years ago, the collapse against Boise, but there've been a lot of weird things in the canvas stadium era.

There've been a lot of weird trends that the Rams just have not been able to buck for whatever reason.
