... how hard players worked in order to get this league off the ground, and pitching it to Mark Walter and saying, "This is why it's important for women's hockey to have a league." I covered the process of how we got from- The original NWHL to the CWHL, back to the NWHL, to the PHF, to the PWHPA, to now the PWHL, this is not the first time there's been a trademark dispute in women's hockey.

There's a long history of very funny trademark stories [laughs] in the sport, but this is probably the most serious one.

Yeah, I'm just left feeling really sad and was curious to get your thoughts on it.

Yeah, some of them did.

It's funny because I think I was one of the older players, me and Jill and Renata, and we were telling stories of the C- old CWHL and the PWHPA-

... [laughs] and I don't, I don't think some of them believed us of some of the stories of-

... and, yeah, and it's, it was fun to kind of teach them the history a little bit because, you know, but that's kind of the cool thing about it, is like they don't need to know the history anymore because they have a league and they can step right into it.

And so it was kind of fun to, you know, you know, tell those old stories.
