Camp Quality

She learned to swim with one leg, and she won races.

She went to Camp Quality, the camp for children living with cancer, and the camp's manager, Mark McGregor, said what everyone said in one form or another.

Quote, she was missing a limb, but she could still do anything the other kids could do.

Asked once how she managed it, she answered, because I want to.

In September 2008, Camp Quality's children were given a day out at Lavarack Barracks, the Army base in Townsville.

So Orla, was a very healthy child until seven months before she died.

So it's not only keeping a legacy of war alive, it's raising awareness of childhood cancer and giving back to a very good charity called Camp Quality, who shone the light during our darkest days this time last year by sending us on a holiday to the Gold Coast.

And even today I was looking back at my thank you email to the quality and the pictures.

So we want to help the next family who unfortunately will have to travel this unimaginable heartbreak.

We just got out of the hospital, it was our first outing, so everything kind of came back to the running part of it.

I think then we decided we'll do a run.

And at the start, we're like, let's just get 200 of our friends, 50 bucks each, and we'll donate to the Camp Quality.

But when the word got out, and it was just everybody wanted to be involved, So then we said, look, let's scale this as big as we can.
