I think Kai Rolls is in for Cameron Burgess.

Burgess obviously out with an injury.

You need another left-footed centre-back, I think, to fill that void.

So you can use those slots on a larger squad elsewhere on the pitch.

Also worth noting.

We've noted Cameron Burgess out with obviously the Achilles tear.

Kai Chuan also out with an ankle injury.

Kai Rolls, I think if he's wanted, he'll play, but I'm just not sure, given he didn't make that final World Cup squad.

I know we've got a gap there with Cam Burgess on that side, but i just don't know if he's in favor um so much with popovich anymore

yeah we've seen rolls play it left back to left wing back you know that's been a ploy um used the last 12 months and we're very weak on that side and yeah struggling to find a couple of left wing backs to fill that spot so yeah interesting interesting positional uh choice that one Alright, in staying in America in the Women's League, NWSL, Sam Kerr, Gotham, well, they got thumped by Denver 3-0.

It should have been more actually.

uh in between the lines far far too easily um any injuries or suspensions that we need to be aware of

yeah cameron burgess sent back um he's out for the season he's one of the ones i mentioned just now that's created opportunity for others so you won't see him um franco who's been out since pre-season has been it's been posted i think yesterday that he's actually available for selection for the first time this season for this game um i doubt he will start it would be Well, I think it would be nuts to see him in the starting lineup considering he hasn't kicked the ball this season so far.

But I would expect him on the bench coming on perhaps towards the end of the game for a little bit of game time.

Ross Stewart has got a niggle.

I'm trying to think if there's any other injuries.

I think that pretty much sums up the injury list there.

But to be honest, Cameron Burgess who he played every minute for us last season um but with the way that we're playing as I kind of was trying to allude to earlier a lot of fans don't even want him to come back into the team and that's harsh to say of a player that's injured he's got a place in the squad don't get me wrong but with the exciting stuff that's going on at the moment his best qualities are not passing the ball um there's so there's a time and a place perhaps against the rough and tumble but um It's one of those where you've accidentally maybe improved in that position.

Franco's probably the one that's the biggest loss for us right now.

I think the the central defensive areas as well.

I mean, they were very heavily reliant on Cam Burgess and Ben Cabango last season.

And you have to say, in both of those areas, they've delivered in terms of adding strength and depth.

And in fact, if anything... um they've got a bit of a selection dilemma at central defence now given how well Stephen Welsh

Now he's got another move overseas to Scotland and Motherwell.

So I think he's a, a player on the rise, and I think if Popovic is true to his word in terms of expanding what that looks like, and it's a good opportunity I think with the likes of Cameron Burgess being out, where he can look at some different players to come into those positions.

I know in the past he's... and yeah, I would expect him to pick someone like a Jason Garria, even though he is not playing in Japan at the moment, because Popovic tends to like to stick to players that he's familiar with.

But I just don't think that Garria playing, well, at a club in J League Two and not playing, I don't think that he should be called up, but wouldn't be surprised if he is.

Well, it's a good question, actually, because, I mean, the first choice pairing of Cameron Burgess and Ben Cabango, they've missed for, well, the entire season.

Burgess has obviously been out with that ruptured Achilles, which looks likely to keep him out for the whole of the campaign.

And Cabango's had a heel injury, missed the last couple of games.

Although the one possibility of burning out is the fact that Swansea had six players at the World Cup in the summer, which is some going for them.

Of course, one is injured in Cameron Burgess.

But yeah, it's possible.

They do play a really high press.

Yeah.

Absolutely mammoth for Australia he'll be, especially because Cam Burgess won't be there at the Asian Cup.

You can expect that Harrington will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

And I'm looking forward to having him back in Australia in this next international window because you can only assume that Popovich is going to call him up for the Brazil friendlies, which are less than a month away now.
