So we, just to call back to Dave's thing earlier, Cameron Bailey made everyone say Lake Ontario in the audience and that was fun.

So to be able to get them in the game, uh, what did I say? Cameron...

And one of those programming, uh, pillars is our innovation hub because when we were building the market, we asked ourselves, you know, how do we support the immersive creators in that community in a real way, and this was the answer to that.

Our festival has always been a big public festival.

We show over 200 films every year, but that's just a drop in the ocean compared to what is out there, and the market gives so many more people a chance to participate.

So it was all private sector, all the film festival chiefs, Cameron Bailey, the CEO of Toronto Film Festival was there.

And I asked him why he came and he felt like it was really important, even though he has his own festival kicking off Today? They were like in the end of the week? Literally in the following week, yeah.

Yeah, so it was that meaningful to people around the globe.

So the board would only ever get involved in that, and the chair in the event, there was some huge controversy.

Really, it's the job, even in that event, of the CEO, Cameron Bailey, to decide.

So we're there, and we can help resolve controversies, but the job of picking the films, you know, you don't want the volunteer board of directors to be the ones picking the films.

You want people who know more about films, certainly more than I know, and so I defer to them, and I'm just there to really make sure this festival is healthy and strong and financially sustainable because I think it's one of the most important things Toronto has.

And I'm so honored and grateful that Cameron Bailey and the whole team at TIFF called me and all of us and notified us that with the opening night film on September 10th, which is five days after your birthday, by the way.

Yeah.

I love how you know that.

But stakeholders are concerned that they haven't been hearing much.

He announced a very large consultative committee on Canada-U.S. relations with people like Aaron O'Toole, Cameron Bailey, the director of the Toronto Film Festival, and a few dozen other people Well, the consultation amounts to every several weeks he tells them how it's going.

Well, That's, I'm not sure that that's giving, that's full of satisfaction for the people who are on the committee, let alone for the constituencies that they represent.

And here, I think we're seeing that Carney was a central bank governor for most of his, most of the kind of peak years of his career before politics.

In addition to the traditional festival, TIFF unveiled TIFF The Market, where filmmakers can shop around their projects and make deals with financiers and producers.
