Camera & Imaging Products Association

This type of cameras are going, the demand is increasing quite a bit.

A couple of items and sources to clarify for this specific episode is that a lot of these numbers come from CIPA, which is the Camera and Imaging Products Association.

which is a Japanese industry association whose members include major camera and lens manufacturers.

This organization publishes monthly and annual manufacturer shipment data.

And this unit sent into distribution and their wholesale shipment value, all that stuff is reported in here.

These are not consumer retail sales.

And some companies, including Kodak License, JK Imaging, do not report to CIPA.

So there's some data here, but it's not everything here.

Quick question, who shipped more cameras last year? The entire Japanese camera industry or one drone company?

DJI alone out-shipped every CIPA camera maker combined.

That's all the Japanese camera makers together.

Now, that's an analyst estimate, and there are assumptions in it, but the second number is ours, and that came out of the lab.

This one will be released globally.

Then we'll talk about very interesting news w- that DJI and Insta360 camera sales combined, which is basically pocket cameras and action cameras, are already much more than all the mirrorless cameras together.

I kinda worked through the CIPA and these IDC results and, you know, there's some assumptions in there, but we'll talk about that and what that means for the future.

We'll talk about the new Meta VR glasses, the Nikon Z52C, uh, the Sigma fp open gate hack, um, the Kron- Chronos Q12 high-speed camera, and a really big update to the RODECaster Video, which actually makes it 4K capable, which might change things for us here in the studio.
