Let's go back to that because, you know, I was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay from '69 to 1970, okay? And I'm also a disabled vet, but let's drop that, I mean, because-

We spent it all, uh, at the PX, and, uh, and we weren't making much money anyway.

But we, based out of Saigon and Da Nang, and we toured from Cam Ranh Bay up to, uh, the DMZ.

We were at the DMZ the Tet after the Tet, where they'd crossed over, the Vietcong crossed into the cities and everything and, like, done the big, uh, um, assault, you know, the Tet assault.

We were there, uh, we were two miles from the [laughs] DMZ on that next Tet.

patrols outside the wire looking for the enemy.

They're serving in giant bases like Cam Ranh Bay or big cities like Saigon.

There's this huge bloated supply chain, logistical chain, and just deeply corrupt apparatus behind the frontline fighters.

And these are people that Never see any combat, necessarily.

His mission? Making sure new recruits and soldiers got paid.

I was a dispersing officer at Cam Ranh Bay, and I had a vault of, uh, six million dollars in currency.

He spent his time counting, transporting, and distributing money.

A brick of twenties is about two hundred thousand.
