Calvin Edward Washington

According to them, two local burglars had been involved.

31-year-old Calvin Washington and his 19-year-old partner in crime, Joe Sidney Williams.

It turned out Washington had just been arrested for car theft, so Simons went to the jail and asked Washington if he could take a mold of his teeth.

He wanted to compare them to the bite marks found on Juanita White.

Despite Detective Price's affidavit, Joe Sidney Williams was found guilty.

When Calvin Washington went on trial a little while later, the proceedings followed the same script and ended the same way, with another conviction.

But there was one notable difference.
