Calle Rosen

Tucker's week to week.

The Blues originally kept Calle Rosen up, but decided that since Mailloux is out, we need a right shot defenseman.

So they sent Calle Rosen to Springfield, who he also cleared waivers.

He did not get picked up.

And we went ahead and got off waivers Justin Barron, and then recalled Adam Jiricek.

Yes.

The three stars of the game were Jordan Binnington, Calle Rosen, and Arvid Söderblom, who stopped 35 of 36 Blues shots.

Great game.

Söderblom was great.

I think he's starting the year with Steve Ott, and frankly, if you're the Blues, you don't wanna see him probably till midway through the season so he can get reps.

So then the conversation becomes, do you carry a Calle Rosen and just make him the seventh defenseman? Do you keep Tyler Tucker on the roster as the seventh defenseman and just hope he's good to go at some point? Or the one that I thought of yesterday is do you claim somebody on waivers if somebody becomes available, put that person on your roster, and then when Tyler Tucker's a- available for you, then you just put the guy that you claimed through waivers back through waivers? Because I don't think other than Calle Rosen you've got another seventh defenseman that's ready to play, and I got to imagine if you're the Blues, you're gonna have to have a seventh guy on the D on this road trip because you play back-to-back in Dallas and Colorado, and then you play in Chicago.

That's three division games that you can't afford to walk out of there without minimum three points.

So if that's the case, I, I think you wanna make sure you have somebody there as backup in case somebody gets injured in those first few games.

So I, I find that fascinating.

My gut would say Calle Rosen's just gonna make the roster, but this guy hasn't even played a preseason game yet.

So man, how do you put him in that spot if you haven't even seen him?
