Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

But I will say Sledgehammer making a Halo game, I'm not upset about that because me and T were talking about this a little while ago.

You're talking, when you talk about the modern CODs, none of them have been necessarily exceptional, but there is one that people mostly agree was a pretty damn good COD, and that was Modern Warfare 3.

The multiplayer aspect.

Damn, we got good memories.

I need to get better at this because I bought Black Ops 1 for the zombies specifically.

We are already on to I think we're on MW3.

I think it was MW3 and I bought Black Ops 1 just because it was on sale and I was like, oh, zombies.

And again, I'm still like relatively new to COD.

I didn't even know that Treyarch had zombies.

The second weekend felt more of like a MW three, but more of like MW 2019 vibe.

But like, with all of the bad stuff of MW3, if that makes sense.

I mean, like, it's just, there's, like, a lot of weird...

This game just feels like that, too.

no. MW2 had a good campaign.

MW3 had a pretty shitty campaign, but...

This seems like it's going to be at least like what we're used to.

So they definitely listened to a lot of feedback, which I'm happy with.

I think they kind of ended at a sort of a Modern Warfare 3 zombies stage.

As far as like some of the content and updates, it almost felt like it's the way they would have updated Modern Warfare 3 zombies.

If Treyarch hadn't stepped off of it after like season one, because they had to work on Black Ops 6.

So it's cool to see they did something.

Well, first I'll ask you, what was your stance going into Black Ops 7? Did you believe we needed a skin filter or just completely remove carry forward the way that MW3 did it? What did you think initially?

Yeah, so just to kind of back it up a little bit, if you look at the Modern Warfare 2 into Modern Warfare 3 carry forward, I feel like at that point in time for those games, it completely made sense for a number of reasons.

And this is coming from I got Orion in Modern Warfare 2.

I got whatever Interstellar in Modern Warfare 3.

I played all these games in pubs.

The pubs are fucking terrible.

I think that's yeah.

So that would mean that of the new era will be like Modern Warfare 2019, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, Black Ops 6 and 7.

I think all of the modern Call of Duty games are now on Game Pass anyway.

uh the royal writ uh on september 10th comes a game pass uh also on september 10th virtua fighter 5 revo world stage and on september 15th a game that's launching in the game pass that i'm actually pretty interested to try but this is a wait till it's on sale because it's a uh It's a survival crafting game, and that's not my kind of thing.

It's fast for a modern warfare game.

But it's slow compared to Black Ops and it just feels so good.

It's good to feel that Modern Warfare feel again after loving Modern Warfare 2 so deeply and then being pulled away from it for a few years with Black Ops and whatever the fuck Sledgehammer was doing with Modern Warfare 3.

And so this feels really, really good.

360.

It was the 360, and I was advocating that the Call of Duty of the 360 era to lock into the canon, as somebody who gives zero shits about and knows almost nothing about Call of Duty... which should be Modern Warfare 3 because it was the best-selling game from the franchise on that platform.

Ryan Hughes was advocating, I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, Ryan, for Black Ops 2.

Is that correct?

It could have been Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty World at War, or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, but it just can't be Modern Warfare 3.

You know, I haven't played a Call of Duty in probably two years now, maybe three.

I think Modern Warfare 3? Modern Warfare 2 maybe was my last one from 2022 or 2023.

It's been a few years.

And they've really got a lot of depth into how the guns handle, how they feel, how they upgrade.
