four years.
J
41:09JimHOST

J
41:14JimHOST
So yeah, four fucking years.

D
47:13DaleHOST
But then when we came back to Black Ops Cold War, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7, they then tried to tie them in with the Modern Warfare games.
D
47:20DaleHOST
It's just like, what are you doing? Which is shit.

and I know there were complaints in Black Ops 6 even about Omni movement I didn't have those problems as much but this game being slower and being a little more methodical with guns and what not is an interesting take my hope is they don't see that and see it doing really well because the game is apparently doing great and whip it 100% the other direction but we'll see where they go with that Uh, so yeah, uh, that's everything I played this week.
B
27:17Bronson FioreHOST
I had a good time with all that.
B
27:19Bronson FioreHOST
Anyway, speaking of Call of Duty though, uh, we should get into the news, uh, which is that Milsim thing was the first thing, which is hilarious.

Halloween Gaming Traditions & Must-Play Horror Games

and I'm just so annoyed with myself, this year I really thought it was going to be the year, and then we got all the release dates for every game ever under the sun, so that is, it's almost a tradition in a non-tradition way, because the tradition is actually not playing the game, the tradition is beating myself up about saying that I want to play the game and never getting around to it, but There are a couple of titles that I actually do go back to, and the main one is probably, and this is going to sound daft, but it's the seasonal updates for Call of Duty or this year Battlefield.
J
3:54Josh BrownHOST
I like to see what they have, um, um on offer as the years go on sometimes they have collabs that i get really excited about sometimes they have collabs that i don't but to be fair i do like those seasonal updates or at least jumping in even if it's just for a game or two sometimes it's longer sometimes it is um across the entire month but sometimes it is just a quick dabble as it was i think it was last year with No, it was the year before with Chucky, I think, which came to Black Ops 6.
J
4:24Josh BrownHOST
That was a fun one.

I was sick of The Walking Dead, as you guys know.

Which game was that? That was...
F
53:23Frank HowleyHOST
Black Ops 7, which is the sequel to Black Ops 6.
F
53:26Frank HowleyHOST
Black Ops 6, I kind of liked.
F
53:27Frank HowleyHOST
I thought the multiplayer on Black Ops 6 was fine.
F
53:29Frank HowleyHOST
But then 7 was the one that had a shorter dev cycle.
F
53:32Frank HowleyHOST
It was like, 7 was basically, here's just a bunch of new maps.
F
53:35Frank HowleyHOST
It felt like, it didn't matter because it's on Game Pass, but it basically felt like DLC for Black Ops 6.
F
53:40Frank HowleyHOST
Here, it's Modern Warfare 4.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Review Crew: A Great Campaign, But There's a Catch
S

And it does really teach you the very basics of it, which I like.
S
18:19Simon CardyGUEST
Black Ops 6 did quite a similar thing.
S
18:20Simon CardyGUEST
There was like a desert mission that was slightly smaller scale than this that I really enjoyed and Black Ops 6 in general campaign I really, really enjoyed.
S
18:27Simon CardyGUEST
And it's funny because traditionally I want my Call of Duty campaigns to be quite on rails and just like, you know, basically make it a playable film, make me feel like I'm in like the middle of a big action film.
S
18:37Simon CardyGUEST
And I traditionally don't like the open levels, but this time I really did like it because it did try something new with it and give you that freedom of approach.
"CALL OF DUTY FRANCHISE SURPASSES $40 BILLION IN REVENUE FOLLOWING LAUNCH OF MODERN WARFARE 4"
A
1:19Analytic DreamzHOST
The PC Edition, as far as the PC Game Pass, went from $16 to $14.
A
1:23Analytic DreamzHOST
So when you look at it, from a monetary standpoint yes xbox acknowledged that the game has lost uh you know a level of quality when it comes to not getting call of duty yearly and safe to say when it comes to the sales of modern warfare 4 i think it is unfairly being compared to black ops 6 to black ops 7 because of course when you look at the player count Black Ops 6 had a record as far as day one players by mid 2025.
A
2:02Analytic DreamzHOST
Now, of course, I'm talking about like the biggest launch, right? But that was on the Game Pass.
A
2:07Analytic DreamzHOST
So now when you look at Modern Warfare 4 being approximately 26 to 30% lower as far as the launch performance sales, When you look at the Xbox specific perform player count comparison, it's 32% below Black Ops 7.
A
2:50Analytic DreamzHOST
Ultimately, revenue should be higher even with a lower player count.
A
2:55Analytic DreamzHOST
Now, what I mean by that is being on a Game Pass lost Call of Duty $300 million.
A
3:03Analytic DreamzHOST
And that was just for Black Ops 6.
A

And then the final one is just the one that we all know, the multiplayer suite, which has just been solid.
L

They added shipment and it's just been, again, just when you look at what they had in Black Ops 7, this is probably a bit more closer to Black Ops 6 in terms of it being a robust, steady package.
L
23:00Liam KelvinHOST
And the fact that they've taken away a light domino movement in Black Ops 6, but admittedly it's still breakneck.
L
23:07Liam KelvinHOST
they've taken all that away and it just feels a little bit more straight up classic style ecology and i've been enjoying kind of dipping in and out of that again because i'll come to what i've been playing in between it but if i feel like you know i'm just i've had too much of this nice rich cake i just need something just a little palate cleanser And I can go on and just play any one of the three things and then hop back in to whatever my main stuff is.
L
23:31Liam KelvinHOST
So I've been enjoying that.

Black Ops 6 and Star Citizen are about 220, GTA 6, 210, and that's only 10 gigabytes larger than Red Dead Redemption 2.
B
22:19Brodie RobertsonHOST
That's part of the reason why I'm surprised.
B
22:22Brodie RobertsonHOST
I actually thought this would have easily cracked 300, maybe 400.
