California's 14th congressional district

But yeah, things are happening.

And we're going to dip right in on leading off and talk about a hot race right here where I'm actually staying right now in District 14, Congressman Swallowell's old district, where the same two people, who faced off in a special election to finish off his term retired slash resigned slash embattled Congress member Swalwell slash Chinese spy courting former Representative Swalwell.

His district was up for grabs.

There was a special election to replace him.

um anyway uh i think it was like tanville

or pleasanton or somewhere like

that right some somewhere in the the what are they called the tri-valley area um so uh and anyway so she uh she they're now facing off oddly enough they're now facing off again in the november runoff for the like next two-year term right for the full term the special election was just to finish off smallwell's term like six months basically so alisha wahab is the current congress member for this district district 14 um but she's facing off against the exact same opponent in november who she beat by not a huge margin in the the special election but one would expect you're going to have a different electorate in this november in a general election um anyway they had themselves a debate And apparently it got pretty heated and the T word came out.

And we're going to find out what the T word's all about in this clip from KTVU.

like I'm an accomplice in something right now.

But on that tip, that was the end of the CA-14 race when Melissa Hernandez, for some reason, at the very last moment.

Was this the Taliban moment? Yeah, she says,

at the last, literally the last moment.

So this is a real issue.

And District 14, I'll be interested to see what you do.

And certainly the charge that Hernandez made, that Wahab is close to the Taliban certainly needs to be examined and repudiated by all of us.

Now, I wanted to make a comment about a moment I had last night with former Mayor Willie Brown.

Aisha Wahab is the incumbent, having won a special election back in August over BART board director Melissa Hernandez.

Wahab is filling the remainder of former congressman Eric Swalwell's seat, and this pair is facing off again to determine who will represent District 14 for a full two-year term.
