California Proposition 218

Harder to raise your taxes.

Well, the courts carved a loophole.

They made it easier to raise taxes.

We are closing the loophole.

We are putting back the two-thirds vote requirement for local special taxes.

And that is Proposition 43.

So mark your calendar for October 5th.

You're the one that's been opining on it for weeks.

But Proposition 218 allows folks to collect signatures to put tax repeals on the ballot.

And the signature threshold is usually lower than normal.

It's normal than the threshold for other things, which is related to the number of voters in the latest gubernatorial election, this is usually lower, right, Susan? This is something that normal people can do.
