Calgary Stampede

Enbridge, question mark.

This actually did pretty well after our Stampede show with the CEO, Greg Ebel.

Yeah, which was a great show.

He's now retired.

Like, now is the time to be aggressive.

And so that's when we first stepped into Temrock Valley.

Now, as we're learning about the business, I remember we're sitting with Brian Schmidt, who's now gonna become chairman, um, and Steve, uh, Steve Bitels, who is gonna be CEO, former CFO, um, and we're sitting with them at Stampede last summer, and it's like...

Or it'd be, uh, summer of '25.

Like, that's how tough those horses are, and some run better indoors.

Like, this is a fairly small indoor pen compared to, like, Ponoka Stampede, and so we run a much larger pattern at Ponoka compared to here in Edmonton, so because of the size of the arena.

Yeah, no kidding.

Uh, have, have you, have you had a chance, uh, to, to, to get inside to get a feel for the space at Rogers Place?

And, uh, I guess that would be important too, right? Because, as we mentioned, uh, obviously back at the CFR for the first time in 18 years but again-

Yeah

... not the first time you've been here, but you'd like to add another major rodeo to your resume before it's all said and done because the goal is still to be at the Stampede.

Yeah, that's right.

You know, whether it's at Hermeson with, I'm going to start back a month, like I said.

So at Hermeson, it's myself and Mike Corey, TJ Corco, the Calgary Stampede.

And so just as friends and allies and knowing each other's stock, yeah.

you see what everybody's stock's kind of doing.

And so that was a month ago, essentially.

And as we went through Cam, Eden, Kenwick, now Calgary's up at Ellingsburg with Mike, Corey, and TJ, and I'm down here with Brookman and Big Stone.

We all kind of talk to each other about where everybody's herds are at.

So that if we do have to adjust numbers, so say at Puyallup, I need 20 bareback horses.
