It's really a measure of something that comes into play that accounts for all of those variables we just talked about.

And really the question that it asks, or we have to ask ourselves when we consider this least significant change is, is the change that you see in the results from one DEXA scan to another due to what's going on in the machine and the calculations it's generating? Remember, there's quite a few variables in that process.

Or is it actually because of the changes that have happened in your bones over that time? So it really asks the question, or what we really need to be asking of our physicians when we read those reports is, did my bones actually change? Because unless it actually exceeded the amount of change that's generated or understood or assumed to be generated by that machine's least significant change parameter, if you like, or amount, which some people call noise, then how do you know whether your result is actually because your bones have changed or it's just come from machine noise or machine variability.

That's a really big I think that's a big factor that's not talked about enough because I know in my experience anyway, and maybe this is yours too, when you sit down with your doctor or you're reading that DEXA report, I know here in Australia that that is not explained.

Is it above? the noise of the machine and is it real change that's happening in your bones, whether it's better or worse.
Anita McLaughlinHOST

That was a lot.

How are we doing? that was a lot i will put a lot of links in the show notes for you so that you can see what those references are for the frax tool to go and jump in and do that and also how to do the calculations for the lsc based on the rule data that you get from your reports.

I really want you to appreciate that.
