Cal State Fullerton Titans baseball

...

Fullerton's RPI, I don't think it was that, uh, like anywhere near that bad this past year.

No, no.

Uh, my, my early to mid 2000s college baseball heart just got broken by hearing that sentence that Long Beach State is an RPI anchor.

Yeah.

Oh, I mean, uh, you know, uh, you know, f- you, both of you guys kind of, you know, were, were covering the game back then during all this.

But I mean, there for a while, I mean, Long Beach State and Fullerton was like the one series you penciled in to go cover every year.

Yep, exactly.

The fact that I was a Division III player, I could do a lot of other things besides play, but I started really to pay attention to coaches at different places.

I watched the College World Series back then, and We talked about Augie Garrido, but I followed him when he was at Fullerton and Gustafson at Texas.

And, you know, everyone that was coaching back then, I really paid attention because I wanted to become someone like them, not knowing that I would ever have that chance.

I felt like I was going to stay in high school forever, which would have been fine.
