Cairnryan

So, dear friends, I was travelling around a bit of Scotland for a week there.

We did the North Coast 500, so from Belfast over to Cairnryan, up to Inverness and the whole way around.

We did about 2,400 kilometres.

And it was very... very interesting i'd never been that far north in scotland before i'd been to glasgow and edinburgh but never that far north and it's it really is beautiful it's so untouched like population density is very very low up in the the the the high highlands like there's no one there so it's uh it's very remote and very very beautiful and often you meet these you find these absolute pearls of beaches like there was one place uh i was reading a tour guide and it recommended this one beach and it was the hardest thing to find we we overshot it twice um it looked like you were driving into a person's driveway and there was grass on the middle of this lane going up beside the church so this can't be right and then we got we got this car parked beside a graveyard we said this is couldn't couldn't be right and then we got out and we walked a little through A couple of sand dunes came over and then this absolutely stunning beach that no one knows about.

It was three hours.

Three hours to Cairnryan, I think it's pronounced.

Mm.

That was-

That was the thing.

Mm.

But, uh, yeah, so y- I'm on the boat, and it's such a short trip, like, from, you know, uh, Cairnryan to Larne.

And so I did what I usually do when I'm on a boat, is I just stand there, and I look at land, and I keep going, keep looking at how far the land away is.

So I was like, not doing it.

So I'm driving to Cairnryan and I'm checking into a hotel that's actually a lighthouse.

And I'm going to be found dead in the hot tub in the morning.

That's my plan.

Just in case.

Look,

if you're getting a ferry, if you're getting a ferry to Cairnryan, you know, you're taking your life in your hands tonight because...

Actually, the Cairnryan to Belfast or to Laran, is that where you're going, Cairnryan to Laran? Yeah, yeah.

I mean, there was one interesting job and that was because obviously I had qualifications about explosives and things like that.

We did a job for a company, Cairnryan.

They had, what was it, it was an old ship, had been broken up and parts of it needed to be blown up.

So they asked myself and a few other people to go up and help.

But remember, you still need photo ID.

travelling from Belfast to Cairnryan, Larne Cairnryan with P&O and there's a Belfast to Liverpool, a very popular Belfast to Liverpool route as well.

So all of those still need a photo ID, it's just that you don't require a passport.

It's probably, and we can imagine the heat this will cause among the unionist community, it was probably an inevitability.

And I'd imagine the policing of it will not be done by the ferry company in Belfast.

Most people go through Belfast, Cairnryan now and a little bit through Lowndes because P&O still have that service.

But they won't be policed by the ferry company.

It could be at the border that questions will be asked.

Yeah, after Ireland, I took the ferry from Belfast to Cairnryan, Scotland.

And yeah, I really struggled to figure out a plan for Scotland.

It's just the constant battle between 15-year-old me and the algorithm.
