CAF Bank

Now, I have been the treasurer for our church for the last eight years.

And in July, our bank, CAF Bank, which is a bank for charities, actually shut down its online banking.

For 10 days, I couldn't pay our staff, our church staff, which was really quite annoying.

And we were fortunate enough that I was going to offer to pay the staff myself, but the staff all said, it's okay, we can cope financially without getting paid this particular day.

That's another little top tip for you financially.

If you can get prepared enough financially so that you don't need to worry about payday being dead on, that's an incredible place to get to.

So what was reported was CAF Bank took its online services offline on the 24th of July after spotting suspicious activity on a small number of accounts.

It then found a previously unknown vulnerability in how some third-party software connects to its online banking portal.
