Cache Bay

We all want to be above average, not what's happening.

James at Cache Bay saying it's so dry in his part of the world throughout the most of the growing season, you know, that June, July period, that his canola was less than 50% of his long-term average.

And it does just show it's all about water.

So, here's a note.

Is it too early to plant wheat? And so some really good data that's coming in that if you plant too early, some excellent data out of Ohio.

Now remember, Ohio's planting date, their optimum planting date, is quite a bit later than the optimum planting date here in Ontario.

And even in Ontario, that optimum planting date ranges widely from Essex County to Cache Bay where James is.

But if you plant 14 days ahead of your optimum date, you can see in the Ohio data, they saw a 10% yield reduction.

Oh, yeah.
