Cabot Trail

I am so proud to be a Canadian.

My husband and I own a tiny cafe on the Cabot Trail.

It's called Cafe Les Suetes, and we had our busiest summer yet.

So many Canadian travelers, and we appreciate it immensely.

First of all, I should say, my family here, we thought, I don't think this trip is going to happen.

We just can't make the Cabot Trail happen this weekend.

The weather, they're warning things.

But we said we have to go as planned because we don't have a backup plan.

And just historically, it's been a misnomer, I think, not just for Cape Breton, but all of the maritime provinces that That, you know, we have tour operators who come to our region a fair bit.

But based on their itineraries, they kind of give you the sense that, you know, you could come to Cape Breton, drive around the Cabot Trail.

It's one of the most scenic drives in the world.

But, you know, maybe stay two nights and that's it.

It's just been a fantastic 10 days.

So we started here and then we went around the Cabot Trail, went to PEI, over to New Brunswick for the last couple of days.

And now we're back to Halifax.

And sadly, we get on the plane and head back to Edmonton tomorrow.

Um, It's safe.

That's the first thing throughout the year.

But you would get a little bit more out of this Nova Scotia, the Cabot Trail up during the high season because it can get pretty cold and very windy.

And so up until about, I would say, October with the change of colors, a lot of people come in for the change of colors.

What is something they would have to do? Honestly,

around here it's more make your own fun there's not like too much things you can go and sign up to do you kind of have to make it your own but the cabot trail it's a famous this was called a famous cabot trail it's uh kind of just a tour all around our island checking out all the nice beaches and stuff it's it's beautiful it brings in a lot of people around the world it's kind of what we're known for it's kind of how we we really have to uh be proud of it is beautiful and our beaches here are amazing so if you like the outdoors and doing hikes and nature and being on the water

Rugged coastline, deep forest, and marine wildlife watching are among the top things to experience on Cape Breton.

You will want to rent a car or drive your own for this cool summer getaway so you can experience the famed Cabot Trail, a loop road that circles the most scenic parts of the island.

Outdoor lovers should plan to tackle the easy Skyline Trail footpath inside Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

The trail overlooks the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

And, uh, yeah, I mean, I don't know.

I, I used to live in Cape Breton on the Cabot Trail for a few years, so I would ride that all the time.

Um, and now I live in the interior of British Columbia, just, uh- South of me is Nakusp and Nelson, uh, and Highway 31, I believe it is, that offers some-
