FEMA failed in their response.

But the neighbors of the Western North Carolina area, people of North Carolina from where I sit here in the Piedmont region in Cabarrus County, and then people from all over the country, the regular United States citizens, that's who stepped in and made things better.

So in honor of the anniversary of the storm that changed the landscape of Western North Carolina forever, I thought we might just talk a little bit about how that storm turned us into really great friends.

... you may wanna go to some of the county commissioner meeting, counties meetings, the town council meetings.

I love it when people prove yourselves wrong.

The reality is that if I were to call another realtor in my market, like right here in North Carolina, in Cabarrus County, I would get a whole different proposal than I give.

And that's cool because every consumer is going to be interviewing.

Well, not every consumer, every consumer should interview.

And for too many North Carolinians, there's just too much month at the end of the money, right?

Now that message is hitting home for some voters here in Cabarrus County.

This is a red-leaning suburb of Charlotte, and it's a booming suburb by nearly every sense of the word.

Lots of population growth, new housing is going up, unemployment is low, and billions in new private investment coming in, including from Eli Lilly, which you're seeing there.

So take a look at this.

Just two numbers here tell this story.

The median household income here in Cabarrus County is $89,000.

But the MIT living wage calculator suggests that the average family here in this county with two parents, two kids, they need $114,000 just to cover their basic expenses.

There's so much voter suppression happening down there in North Carolina.

Cindy is a member of ours in Cabarrus County of North Carolina, and she comes to lots of Red Wine & Blue events.

So even though that camera's not working, we know she is working.

Like, I'm going to tell you my story about my friend Judge Herrick.

Kim was just a lawyer when I was pregnant with Pearson.

But Kim was a really supportive friend.

The state has said, okay, well then how about you lease it to us? And he has said, no.

And then he said, why don't you actually close down the one in Cabarrus County and transfer all of those people into my employee? And the state's like, uh, no, we can't do that either.

They would, we can't just transfer people as a state employee over to a County employee.

Um, So that's where it stood for all this time.

um so just a heartwarming story as we get into this ridiculous trade war and of course i'll try to keep you updated on all of that trying to keep you updated on all the bathroom bills uh being introduced in red states and this from the charlotte observer north carolina's newest bathroom battle is stoking worries about lgbtq student harassment and just pointing out as i always do the obsession that Republicans have with our community, especially our transgender part of our community.
