His convictions include eluding a police officer, drunken driving, battery, and reckless conduct, which stemmed from a drive-by shooting in which Harris was the driver, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. District Chief Judge C.J. Williams, during sentencing, ordered Harris to pay $760,575 in victim restitution and to serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.

Harris is the sixth defendant to plead guilty in the fraud check scheme.

The three convicted from Cedar Rapids are Dale Ford, 60, of Cedar Rapids, was convicted of one count of forged endorsement on a U.S. Treasury check and one count of aggravated identity theft.

His parents were acquainted with Clementine and Max Beavers as well.

Ewells was prohibited from possessing firearms because of prior felony convictions.
