C.J. Mosley

He is a, I can't just express it enough how important he is to this football team, and it just reassures, too, that they were missing that last year.

We've talked about it a lot with C.J. Mosley and not having him last year.

DeMario Davis taking on that leadership role is huge, so huge.

You didn't even see guys, and I know it's only one game, and this isn't the greatest show on turf that they faced, but how many times last year, and also Glenn deserves credit for this, guys out of position, guys running wide open.

Quinn and Williams did play in this game.

They also had C.J. Mosley.

That was, I believe, the best year of C.J. Mosley as a jet.

They had fully fought Akasi.

They had JFM.

Demario Davis.

And now because Demario Davis is gonna carry that green dot, Jamian Sherwood, who did the green dot last year for the Jets, is now back to the role that got him paid when he was next to C.J. Mosley.

Oh.

And so now he's back.

He can set the defense.

It's like – and, like, he's a C.J. Mosley.

You know, you have the guy who knows what to do, set up a defense and how to do it, whereas I think Jermaine Sherwood, it was a little too early for him to be that – like, I know they paid him, but he wasn't ready for, like, that – be the defensive leader role.

I know that you made him captain.

I think Demario Davis being on the team, uh, just makes me happy.

Um, the fact that Jamie Sherwood operated so much better alongside, uh, C.J. Mosley, um, I think is going to bode well for his numbers, and, and really kind of bounce him back a little bit.

Um, I, I like our depth in the cornerba- you know, in the, in the, uh, defensive backfield for once.

Uh, safety's a little thin, um, but, you know, some of those cats, uh, uh, uh, Dean Belton, like, he, uh, he surprised me in the, the, the pre-season, and I think he kind of pushed Andre Cisco out of the starting role, and, uh, and is putting Cisco into a more specialized role, which I think is, is gonna be better for him.

It was going to be 2013, which would have been interesting.

Okay, so who was the last touchdown scored by the Jets? Was it Mosley? Mosley.

It was not C.J. Mosley.

Jermaine? Jermaine Johnson, interception, pick six against the Browns, Thursday night football.

Now, I see a couple people in the chat saying, oh, Will McDonald last year.

If Demario went down, I think we'd absolutely struggle massively.

It's the same situation we had with CJ Mosley.

And I like the way that Sherwood and Demario are interacting.

They seem to be on the same page.

Yeah, he's like you said, he was not at all a disappointment disappointment last year.

And if anything, he's really been one of the pleasant surprises from the past two years, right? Like he made CJ Mosley expendable in 2024.

And then last year had that top 12 IDP production.

And I think as long as he's in an every down roll this year, he should have that potential again.
