There is a piece in this English newspaper called Byline Times recently called The Tyranny of Literacy.

It talked about the fear of algorithmically determined information distribution.

And in my six years chasing inherent Indo-European sounds, I also had some of the same fear.

The fear is that a large language model is an averaging engine that teaches us to average too until the plausible crowds out the true.

and Peter Dukes, who published my first written episode of Distant Folklore in Byline Times in May 2023, and to whom I'll be eternally grateful for doing that.

He wrote a piece recently in the Byline Times, which I subscribe to, called The Tyranny of Literacy.

Cites a fine piece of science to sharpen it.

Regular viewers will remember back in January when a self-described journalist called Katherine Denkinson reached out to me for comment for an article she was writing about me for the new Humanist magazine.

If you don't know who she is, Sorry to ruin your blissful ignorance, but her career seems to consist of ticking off all of the items on a checklist for the leftist omnichors in outlets like the Byline Times, the iPaper and the Independent.

I mean, you can see here she's written about the Patriot Platform protests, Tommy Robinson, the far right, Reform UK, Restore Britain, the ever-present threat of the resurrection of Adolf Hitler.

trump and even covered vaccine skepticism but her claim to fame seems to be writing about all things incel andrew tate the manosphere and anti-feminism and for that reason she's focused on me now i was a little bit confused when she came to me at first because i just said well i've previously criticized the manosphere for being too Islamic, too non-white, too materialistic.

Yeah, when women are crying into TikTok confessionals saying, I hate my job, I'm in a city, I don't know anyone, I can't make friends, I can't meet a nice guy, and I feel like I have no time, and I'm so overwhelmed.

Yeah, we shouldn't put women in that position that makes them miserable, especially when loads of these jobs are basically fake anyway.

If you are sitting there all day on Teams meetings, drinking matcha, basically playing games in a Silicon Valley startup that has bouncy balls at your desk and a foosball table in the lunchroom, and you're just filling out meaningless spreadsheets and sending emails, or, I don't know, writing articles for the Byline Times that get fewer reads than this video... mocking your entire output well, then I think your job is basically useless.

And instead, we could go back to single-income provider households that would give women much more flexibility.

And I wanted to speak about something that relates to that, if you'll indulge me on that.

On the 21st of February, the Daily Beast published a story under the headline, Former Intelligence Officer Claims KGB Recruited Trump.

Another outlet, called Byline Times, then published its own version the same day.

The Daily Beast story was removed within a day, but the Byline Times article is still up as at the date of filming of this episode.

Sergei Zhirnov, another former KGB officer living in France, told a Ukrainian outlet on the 23rd of February last year that the claim was plausible.

He described how thoroughly the KGB would have monitored a visiting American businessman in 1987 Moscow, especially one as in the public eye as Donald Trump.

For me, it's kind of like an emotional hand grenade.

And the other thing is, I'm sure you know, Sunday, my column, Sloptocracy and Byline Times, ran on Saturday.

By Sunday, there was a 10-hour bender of AI slop coming out of Trump's true social posts.

And I believe, again, super dangerous.
