Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium

NASCAR announced its 2027 schedule.

We'll walk through the changes starting with The Clash, the first exhibition race of the season.

It is moving from Bowman Gray back to its roots at Daytona on February 13th.

The Daytona 500 will be the following weekend.

"Get back upstairs," you know? And, uh, so we finished watching them.

And, you know, he had won the Busch Clash, I think.

I think he won it in, in '81.

But back then you didn't get invited back.

So he wasn't in it in '82, so, um, he must have won it in '80 and, and didn't get a pole in '81.

I was in it.

He said, "Let me show you how to win a Busch Clash." He puts his in, we watch his race.

Uh, there's ano- there's a lot of stories in there about Dale.

Since moving over to the number 60 car for RFK Racing, he's shown he still has that short track muscle.

Remember, he kicked off this 2026 season by getting it done, winning the Cook Out Clash at the Bowman Gray.

We also saw him grab a really impressive sixth place finish at Martinsville last year, proving he knows exactly how to navigate these tight flat corners.

Now, translating that to the Magic Mile, Preece isn't going to go out there and dominate the opening segment.

I know Sky representing old Florida down there at Daytona.

Hell, you're going to have a great time next year when we have the exhibition races out there for the Clash and everything.

How many races are you going to get to attend next year, Sky? I mean, just in Florida alone, you'll be able to see like four or five different races?

Yeah, that's the hope, and I'm going to hit every single one of them.

They tried Dover.

I don't think that's the right place to do an all-star race, but you know, the all-star race used to be exclusive to Charlotte.

Just like the clash was exclusive Daytona until we started moving it.

We know the championship race is going to move in 2028.
