Burt Young

We have Pauly.

Funny thing about Burt Young is in between films, he had actually lost a lot of weight.

So that's why you're seeing him in a lot of different angles.

And he's wearing baggy clothes to make it look like he is just as heavy as the previous film.

Worthy of Convoy.

So Convoy is starring Chris Christopherson, Ali McGraw's in there, Burt Young playing an odd character.

He's like, I

think he's supposed to be Native

That's another thing Peckinpah brought to this very 1970s script was there was no black characters.

And Peckinpah was like, no, we got to have some black characters in here.

What the fuck are you talking about? so we got frank it we got franklin aj playing spider mike and then burt young who you know of course he's like he's like he's from rocky he's rocky he's paulie from rocky uh and then we got chris christopherson those are the three main ones ali mcgraw is uh speeding around and she somehow becomes part of the convoy i'm not going to get all into that but they're driving along and then they get pulled over by ernest porgnine who's a cop and you can tell he's crooked cop he's a he's uh you know trying to get them to just pay him directly and uh you can tell there's some history there with him and rubber duck and it's kind of like the war is on like the two of them don't like each other and They end up getting into a giant police brawl, like cops versus the truckers in this little diner.

And there's all the slow motion shots that you'd imagine and the stunts and like really bad stunts where you can tell, like, that's not the guy that's playing spider.

And she, more than any other character, made Adrian's look her own.

And next up, Burt Young as Pauly Panino.

And I don't raise you to go with this scumbag! This

was probably his most famous role.

and only needing one other person to be in that scene.

But that's, again, where you take the inspiration dealing with what you have and turn it into easily my favorite scene of the whole movie.

And my other favorite scene, I kind of mentioned it earlier with Burt Young, is that fight with Polly and Adrian and Rocky's there too because there's so much character work that's happening in that scene.

I'm not a loner! Yo, bust it! What? You're not a virgin! You're not a virgin! Jesus Christ!

It's from the director of The Longest Yard, among other things, but it's also a post-Rocky movie.

Burt Young has got a supporting role in it as a shady promoter.

Richard Jekyll shows up in it as a referee in one city.

But I watched it a couple times this year.

but we're pretty sure that Burt Young fucks a robot.

We've got from 1981, the namesake of this episode, Back to School, directed by Alan Metter, starring Rodney Dangerfield, Sally Kellerman, rest in peace, and rest in peace, Rodney, I guess, Burt Young, Keith Gordon, and Robert Downey Jr.

The tagline's kind of lame.

Registration starts Friday, June 13th at theaters everywhere.

And not even Burt Young being in the movie is enough to sway you? Yeah, I know.

He then asks Rocky if Grazzo's hiring, and Pauly tells Rocky to come by tomorrow and he'll see if he can set something up between the two.

All right, so, man, Burt Young playing Pauly.

What a fucking just despicable character.

You hate him.

I have so much love for the cast of this movie.

I bring up to Jen all the time in that, you know, when we watch movies with villains, I tell her, I said, that guy must be, or girl, must be a really nice person because, and I found this when I was working out there too, the people who played the worst sons of bitches are usually the nicest of people.

I would hope that Burt Young was the nicest person ever, because God does he play an asshole so well in this.

Everybody comes to play in this movie.

Do you remember, too? It would have been perfect for that show.

Burt Young played his dad in the show.

Fucking Paulie.

Paulie from Rocky played his dad.

She was a judge in one episode of Miami Vice back in Season 1.

It's the one with Burt Young, guys.

I shouldn't have to tell you more.
