Burn Notice

'Cause like you said, when it's like a...

You know, when I'm watching, uh, Burn Notice for instance, obviously the ad breaks come where they would have in w- Am, am I getting shit on for watching Burn Notice? No good?

I just...

I mean, it's- No, no, but of all of the things, [laughs] it's a show that's been off the air for years.

Like when you hear a dad joke, you know it's a dad joke.

These are dad shows.

And so right now it's Burn Notice, but they'll have the ad like when they would have thrown to break on the regular TV.

But yeah, like I, I've seen it multiple times on Hulu right in the middle of dialogue, like right in the middle of an important scene.

[laughs]

Yeah, you know, um, uh, uh, there's a show that I- that was on a while back called Burn Notice.

Not a horror show, just a- about an ex-spy that...

And his sidekick, for lack of a better word, is Bruce Campbell.

And back then I was watching an interview with Bruce Campbell about Burn Notice, and he said, "This is the most successful thing I've ever done." Just like that.

And you know, this, this spy show that ran for six or seven years, and it kind of surprised me, but then when you think about it, um, as well known as he is to horror folks, that introduced him to a wider audience, even though he's been acting forever, even though you've been writing forever.

Suddenly this cult classic movie, you write the novelization for it-

I appreciate it.

You started doing some episodic TV a few years back and got to work with Bruce Campbell on Burn Notice.

He's an awesome actor.

I'm a huge fan of his.

They had the...

So like I said, I've been watching a bunch of Burn Notice again lately.

They do that, and they're going into this, they're go- again, going after some bigger bad guy.

They're going in and talking about trapping him, not letting him get away.

Eventually, South Florida did start getting some of its own television back.

In 2007, Burn Notice arrived.

Jeffrey Donovan played Michael Weston.

He's a former spy who suddenly finds himself burned, so that's the name, and stranded in Miami.

You know, our restaurants and causeways and the heat and the neighborhoods because the show was actually filmed here.

It felt like and looked like and was South Florida.

And Burn Notice, might not know this, went on for seven seasons.

Seven.

That's in Miami

... have you ever seen Burn Notice? That's a good show.

No.

That's a good show.

Never have.

Never seen Burn Notice.

Yeah.

I mean, Miami Vice back in the day.

...

he was in Burn Notice in one episode.

He was in Running Cool, the spinoff-

Yeah
