Bungee jumping

What you got brother? Have you ever bungee jumped? No.

Have you ever thought about bungee jumping? Absolutely

not.

That's not in my wheelhouse.

And of course they're speaking in German.

I knew a little bit, very little.

but i'm like did they say somebody was killed killed yeah yeah guy bungee jumped rope went too far hit his head on the concrete that was the end of anything that i wanted to do with bungee jumping i was not interested from that point on i'm not jumping out of anything

yeah well i well see the reason i never did it is because they're There are other things that I did that terrified me, but I did it anyway and I didn't have too much of a choice.

And I always came to Queenstown and thought, well, this has to be the best place in the world.

And I went to university in Dunedin, but I would always come through and I managed to pick up a job working for AJ Hacker Bungee.

So in my school holidays, I would come through, work in the raft.

Maybe work in reception, sell videos, sell photos, scoop ice creams.

Put my toes on the line, accept the fear, jump, and discover what happens next.

bungee jumping metaphor actually came from monica at the time i was working in a well-paid corporate job but i knew it was time for me to leave i wanted to start my own business monica was six months pregnant there were no guarantees i was giving up the security of a salary for something i couldn't see yet monica called me the bungee jumper she could see me standing with my toes on the line preparing to jump into the unknown and she jumped with me That decision changed the direction of my life.

It taught me something I've carried ever since.

Security and freedom are not always the same thing.

Bungee is scarier though.

I think if I had to choose-

It's over top of the Kawarau River.

It's 141 feet up, and you can actually just walk across that bridge even if you're not bungee jumping and just watch.

And when you're on that bridge, like, it's, it's scary.
